Stroud Residence

The client is an avid gardener and wanted her house to feel very connected to the garden. Each room was designed to relate in different ways to the outdoors.

Starting at the sidewalk, the entry sequence leads through a gate at the front of the yard, down a path under a trellis at the front door, inside under two arches, and continuing outside at the back through French doors, under a large trellis over a patio, and to a lush garden. One can partly see from outside at the front through the entire house to the rear garden.
